Speaking of which, it’s worth noting that the clinic has been around since 1979. Knowing this instills confidence in the quality of its services because, in our book, a company that’s been around for decades has satisfied a number of clients.

Similarly, the clinic’s head doctor, Dr. Thomas Nakatsui, has solid credentials. For us, his expertise in laser dermatology, memberships, and recognitions (such as the Board of Governors’ Prize in Medicine) ensures that patients would get excellent results.

On the flip side, Nakatsui has a slight issue with appointments and schedules. There are several instances wherein patients had to endure long waiting hours only to be rescheduled, which we think is a letdown.

Nevertheless, visiting the clinic in any mode of transportation has zero hassle because it’s near several bus stops and has plenty of parking. Nakatsui DermaSurgery is also available on Saturdays–good news for patients busy on weekdays.

Lucere is one of the dermatology clinics in Edmonton with sculpting and excision as part of its surgical mole removal services. It has more non-laser methods than its competitors, which we think is good news for patients diagnosed with cancerous moles.

Besides that, it offers laser removal using CO₂ laser. We’re glad it provides an all-around service so patients can have a better range of options.

It also has two branches in Edmonton. If that’s not convenient already, patient visits would be miles better because Lucere’s two clinics both have spacious parking areas and are near a bus stop!

Another feature that we like about Lucere is the before and after gallery. Aside from allowing patients to compare and assess its works, this feature also instills confidence and trust in the quality of its work.

Speaking of which, Lucere’s head dermatologist of Lucere, Zaki Taher, has a wide range of expertise. Aside from his dermatology background, we think his knowledge of cancer management would be reassuring for patients.

Unfortunately, Lucere’s customer service has mixed reception from patients. We found a few cases wherein customers had an issue with the set appointment and inattentiveness from the staff, which we think is a huge letdown.

On the other hand, numerous patients were satisfied with their time in the clinic. Most of these customers we talked to attributed their positive experience to their friendly demeanour and knowledgeable advice from the physicians.

Rejuvaderm is one of the clinics in the city backed by the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA) and six other medical institutions in the country. For us, this is reassuring because a company’s recognition indicates that it’s a trustworthy business.

Similarly, its medical director, Eric Wong, is equally reputable because of his double board certification (in Canada and US) and publications in dermatology. We’re certain that a doctor with such a background provides top-grade medical services.

We think it’s worth sharing that Rejuvaderm only provides excision and CO2 laser surgery for its mole removal services. It’s apparent that its set of procedures is fewer than other clinics–but hopefully, it can add more options in the future.

Despite this shortcoming, we still think it’s reassuring that many patients who visited the clinic had a pleasant experience. Aside from having physicians with excellent bedside manners, the customers we talked to also liked the personable and helpful staff.

Meanwhile, the Rejuvaderm has two branches in the city: the Glenora Area and the Edmonton South. We think it’s worth noting because it allows patients to choose whichever location is better on their part.

We’re  also glad that both of its clinics are near bus stops and have spacious parking lots, which adds a lot of convenience to patients who want to visit.

With its business dating back to 1984, there is no doubt that Rejuvenation is one of the most seasoned dermatology clinics in the city. Knowing that an experienced clinic provides mole removal services is a relief.

Rejuvenation also didn’t lack the options to provide to its clients. We’re glad to share that patients can choose between CO2 laser or Picoway laser; both have advantages depending on the results you want to achieve for your skin.

Also, we’re happy Rejuvenation has numerous features that guarantee a more satisfying patient experience: its availability on Saturdays and having two clinic branches in the city.

Rejuvenation is also easy to visit via public transportation, which we think is a relief for those who prefer to use transit. Its branch in downtown Edmonton is notable because it’s only a minute away from the Corona station and several bus stops.

And unlike others, Rejuvenation’s website is also available in Mandarin. We are glad it has this feature because Chinese clients who aren’t very fluent in English could browse better on its webpage.

Similarly, the clinic also has impressive surgeons, such as Perry Grewal. Aside from being fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, we think his position as a professor at UofA and peer reviewer of research in dermatology is reassuring to patients.

We’re also glad to share that Rejuvenation’s mole removal service has satisfied many patients because of its knowledgeable and friendly patient care. 

On the flip side, we think it’s a letdown that there were a few instances wherein patients did not receive any updates or answers about their inquiries and appointments. We hope that it will address it in the future for the convenience of its patients.

Busy schedules should not hinder you from taking care of yourself. And with its availability on Saturdays, we think it’s good news that a clinic like Vida Dermatology is ready to provide you with quality mole removal treatment and other skin care services.

Aside from its operations, we also like that Vida has plenty of parking space and is near bus stops. In hindsight, whether a patient prefers to drive or ride transits, these features undoubtedly provide more convenience to them.

However, Vida only has standard CO2 lasers for its laser mole removal services. Despite not being a big issue, we hope it could add more types in the future so patients can have more options to choose from.

The clinic also had several appointment issues wherein patients received wrong schedules or had to wait for over half an hour but failed to receive any attention. We consider this a letdown because this would cost a lot of time on the patients’ behalf.

Nevertheless, we think the credentials of Dr. Anil Kurian, its head doctor, are enough to compensate. His numerous books and academic works on dermatology and awards would be enough reassurance that the clinic’s medical service is of excellent quality.
