Calling all anglers! It’s time to cast your fishing line and reel in your biggest catch of the year! Lac Seul First Nation is hosting its 17th Annual Ice Fishing Derby this February 22, 2025.

The event starts at 12:00 PM at Whitefish Bay on Lac Seul in Northwestern Ontario. Those ready to brave the cold are welcome to join and try their luck bringing in the heaviest fish to win the top prize—a whopping $30,000!

If you want to join Lac Seul’s ice fishing derby in Ontario, you can purchase a ticket for $300. Just a heads up—there are only 250 tickets available, sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Sales end at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 21.
